Figs and Chestnuts

This is a chestnut from Auckland. I was given these by a friend and she got them from her friend in Auckland. I don't know if they are imported, but they are HUGE. I got these in early April, and I roasted them in some oil and salt, and we had some hot, then added the rest with some mashed potatoes.





These figs we got from a tree outside the cafe around from our house, a few people looked on while they ate their lunch, and we walked off with a free treat.
